7 Years!

7 Years ago (tomorrow)
Dec. 19, 2002

Jason's favorite engagement photo of us. It didn't make the invitations, but I quite like it as well.

Hitched!
We were smilin' fools the entire day. I left out the pics that have me laughing and smiling with my mouth WIDE open. (there were a lot of those)

A little bit of action...
Jason's parents on right, mine of the left.
My mom didn't waste anytime. (the were giggling afterwards)

This cape seriously saved my life that day. I would highly recommend not getting married in December.

So in love...

Sisters, Sisters, never was such devoted sisters...
(only 2 are in-laws, can you guess which 2?)

I think he might be scared of what he has gotten himself into (don't blame him). Only 2 of those women are from Jason's family.

My best friend & maid of honor, Brooke. For some reason we just couldn't pose normally. This suits us much better.

Jason's best man, John.

Loved my wedding cake! Not only was it beautiful, but it was tasty. Not to mention that John's (the best man) mother made it for us as her wedding gift!

This is me warning Jason to be good. I think my exact words were "be good Mister."

THE PROOF!!! Not only was he not good, if you look close you can see that the cake actually went up my nose. My Dad was not happy at all. He doesn't like the tradition of smashing it on the face, neither do I, but and eye for an eye I guess.

They say the real test is getting through the 1st year and the first 7 years. Our first year was really rough (being poor & me liking to spend money didn't help matters).

Now we have 2 beautiful children and one on the way and things are looking pretty good our way. We love our life, it's crazy, but it's all ours!

So Happy Anniversary sweetheart!
Here's to another 7 and more...

Buzz & the Cheerleader

"Save the Cheerleader, Save the World!"Gwen was the cutest cheerleader. She would only hold one pom-pom and then she would say "ra, ra,ra." She made her Daddy proud! Go Colts!
Noah looks like he is in pain in this picture, but I could not get him to smile. Maybe the 101 degree temperature had something to do with that.
My cute trick-o-treaters!
So excited to go. Even when Gwen's bucket got really heavy she wouldn't let you hold it.
I love this pic. The kids had a good time and we only went up and down our street because they were both not feeling well, especially Noah. But even just doing that took close to an hour, especially with Gwen's little feet and wanting to stop and look at every crack in the sidewalk.

Couples Halloween Party

Jason and I got to attend our friends couples/adult Halloween party (we have good friends so this party was rated PG, for the most part)

Since I am 7 months pregnant there is a limited of costumes that would work for me. So I decided we would go as a redneck/hillbilly couple, a Shot Gun Wedding couple that is. I even had a homemade veil and a garder to boot.Do you like Jason's beer/soda hat? We made it ourselves! Thanks to the excellent invention of duct tape! Don't forget his beautiful mullet that he is sporting.

This was our fabulous wedding cake we brought to our party (reception). And yes, we made it ourselves! Twinkies, Cup Cakes and Oreos, kept together with whip cream.
Thanks to Noah and Gwen for supplying the bride & groom figurines.

Did you like my do? Well you know how big hair is in style and being the redneck I am I couldn't afford one of them "Bump-its" so I figured a toilet paper roll would do just the trick!
Now I know all of you are now running to your bathroom to unroll your own "bump-it." I don't blame you, it's simply FAB!

My friend Sarah, and the hostess of our fun party, trying to be seductive eating a cracker. Good job Deal Red Riding Hood.

Me and my friend Ranae

Me, Sarah and Katie

Sean and Sarah's friend, who won for sexiest costume of the night. Both funny and disturbing on so many levels!

Nothin' like jamming out on Rock Band after a fun Halloween party. Yes, that is Sean's real hair. He grew it out especially for his werewolf costume. He has scared Gwen many a times when she is playing over at their house or at church. Just a little too much hair for Gwen, I guess. Funny.

The Mullet

For Halloween Jason and I were a redneck couple and we bought this nice mullet wig for Jason to wear. The kids decided it looked best on them.
Huh, maybe mullets will actually be in style! (let's nope not)Gwen admiring her lovely locks.
Jason says that Gwen looks like her cousin, Livie in this picture.
Noah loves to make faces adn I think this one goes perfect with his new do!
Watch out for Angry Mullet Noah!!!
Another face. Gotta love this kid!

Pumpkin Painting & Leaves

For Family Home Evening last week we decided to let the kids paint their small pumpkins they got at the pumpkin patch.

Gwen was all about it!
Look at my little artist.

Noah was concentrating so hard, he didn't even notice he had some red paint on his lips, funny kid.
He also likes to mix as many colors as he can and cover every inch possible. I don't think there was a spot of pumpkin untouched by artist Noah!

Last Thursday it was quite busy around here. I was watching a neighbor kid, Jayden and Noah's little friend, Daphne. By the afternoon the kids wanted to go outside and play with the leaves. It was perfect day for that.

I remember these days...so much fun to make a big pile of leaves and jump in them. being a kid is so much fun!

Primary Program

Noah had his first Primary Program yesterday. He was so good and he sang along with all the songs, especially the parts of the songs he knew really well. While singing he would get son animated, he would raise his eyebrows, open his eyes really wide and his mouth was wide open, So Cute! He was also the last kid you heard singing because he wouldn't look at the chorister to know when to stop. I love that my little guy loves to sing.

He also did really well on his speaking part. He had to say "I lived with Heavenly Father before I came to Earth." He practiced it and knew it, but the primary president helped him out to begin with so he couldn't show off his, and our, hard work. Oh well, at least practicing and memorizing it did a lot of good for him to know how to prepare and how to memorize.

I love Primary Programs because the kids are so excited to show off their hard work. It is also fun to see the little ones singing and the ones sitting, purposely not singing. That is funny too! Plus Gwen was very content because kids are much more entertaining than us "old folks" talking.

Black Island Farms Fieldtrip

Noah's preschool had a field trip planned to a local farm: Black Island Farms.
Here they do a "hay ride" out to the pumpkin patch and the kids get to pick out their own pumpkins. They had small ones, which was nice so the kids could hold them. The man cutting the pumpkins was really nice and cut Gwen one, even though we only paid for Noah to get one.

Noah thought it was funny to make this face. Not sure what it is though.

Happy little girl with a pumpkin!

The had pig races for the kids to see. They all loved it. So fun!

There were these slides, big and small, and Gwen couldn't get enough of the slides. It helped to have her coat on to cushion her when she tumbled a few times.
It wasn't very cold, but there was this wind that wouldn't quite that made coats a must that day.
Here is the "BIG" slide. Noah (in orange) and his friend Teagan loved going down together. By the time they got to the end of the slide though they had toppled over each other and were giggling. So much fun to be a kid. Thanks to my friend Lindy, Teagan's Mom, who took Noah around so I could stay with Gwen on the smaller slides.

There was also a little "train ride" pulled by the tractor. Gwen was so brave and went all by herself. I was quite nervous, but it went very well.
Noah and Teagan went a couple times as well. It looked really bumpy and I was grateful I am almost 7-mo. pregnant and didn't have to endure this ride like my friend did (who had a sore bum after the fact =-).

So much fun. I'm glad we went. But so tired when we were done and I was ready for a nap.

Not that obsessed...

So I like the Twilight saga, but I am really not that obsessed with it, but the "New Moon" movie coming out in November looks crazy awesome that I wanted to reread the book I thought was the slowest of them all. Take a look at this trailer and you tell me if I'm wrong: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi3859022361/ I seriously had to watch it 2 or 3 times. Didn't know Dakota Fanning was in it...

Promotion!

Jason just got a promotion at work! He will now be a producer of a different studio. This is something that he has wanted for a long time, he just needed to get school, years of experience and apparently patience under his belt before the opportunity would come along, and we are so grateful that it has.

Just thought we would share the good news with you all!

Snack Time!

Gwen just loves playing with dishes and pretending to feed her stuffed animals. She also likes to feed everyone in the family if we let her.

Here she is feeding her bear, that Jason brought back for her from London, a nice snack of popcorn. This is what we do when Noah is at preschool.
My little mother hen.
Yum! We love popcorn!
