Black Island Farms Fieldtrip

Noah's preschool had a field trip planned to a local farm: Black Island Farms.
Here they do a "hay ride" out to the pumpkin patch and the kids get to pick out their own pumpkins. They had small ones, which was nice so the kids could hold them. The man cutting the pumpkins was really nice and cut Gwen one, even though we only paid for Noah to get one.

Noah thought it was funny to make this face. Not sure what it is though.

Happy little girl with a pumpkin!

The had pig races for the kids to see. They all loved it. So fun!

There were these slides, big and small, and Gwen couldn't get enough of the slides. It helped to have her coat on to cushion her when she tumbled a few times.
It wasn't very cold, but there was this wind that wouldn't quite that made coats a must that day.
Here is the "BIG" slide. Noah (in orange) and his friend Teagan loved going down together. By the time they got to the end of the slide though they had toppled over each other and were giggling. So much fun to be a kid. Thanks to my friend Lindy, Teagan's Mom, who took Noah around so I could stay with Gwen on the smaller slides.

There was also a little "train ride" pulled by the tractor. Gwen was so brave and went all by herself. I was quite nervous, but it went very well.
Noah and Teagan went a couple times as well. It looked really bumpy and I was grateful I am almost 7-mo. pregnant and didn't have to endure this ride like my friend did (who had a sore bum after the fact =-).

So much fun. I'm glad we went. But so tired when we were done and I was ready for a nap.
